Drone Warfare: orchestrated and open architectures

As a concrete response to the need for a short circuit between the Defence Technology and Industrial Dependencies and theaters of operation, Thales, as a systems provider and integrator, proposes to be the driving force behind an open, integrated, standardized contact drone ecosystem, in which each DITB player will find its place.

The aim of this ecosystem is to provide a complete and coherent portfolio of drone solutions, easily integrated into combat systems, covering the entire “contact drone” capability framework – from nanodrones to Medium Altitude Medium Endurance drones – useful at the lowest tactical echelons of land forces, right up to the joint brigade.

These solutions will take into account the prerequisites of high-intensity warfare: standardization of interfaces, 3D deconfliction and interoperability, which are indispensable forces.

They will respond to the recommendations for the urbanization of the sector reported by the GICAT.
They will be able to accommodate system upgrades and the integration of new key components, starting with AI.

Only an organized ecosystem will be able to meet performance requirements, quantity, availability, cost and services required by current and future conflicts. future conflicts.
